There is no way you will fail to make money from free blogs easily if you can do a couple of articles every day and then post them at the two article directories I use myself. And as I have already said, it is very important that you monitor how each of your articles are doing in their mission to generate traffic for your blog.
Within a very short time of doing this, you will be able to easily know what kind of articles work best in sending traffic to your blog. Which means that you will naturally do more of that kind of article and less of the kind that hardly generates any traffic for you. Constant testing is the big secret of success in any marketing effort. How else will you get to know what works and what doesn't work in terms of articles that help you generate traffic?
Then the next area of great concern is your email newsletter. Remember that there are no two ways about this. You must produce the kind of valuable information that your readers will deeply desire and look forward to every week. It must be something really useful that can change their lives. The way to do this is to approach the whole thing by putting yourself in their shoes. You will need to constantly ask yourself the question; what kind of information do they desire most? What are their most nagging and urgent problems?
Usually I get some of my best article ideas for promotional articles by going through my email newsletter and choosing what to highlight to entice readers to deeply desire to subscribe to my email newsletter. Once I have picked out an idea, the next stop is the free keyword analysis tool which tells me how frequently a certain keyword is searched for on a daily basis (more information on where to get this amazing tool in my email newsletter).

One of the key things I need to do to make money from my blogs selling email newsletters is to work on generating traffic.
I must admit that this is the main activity that I am usually involved in which takes up most of my time. But what the heck, I really enjoy writing. And besides I can tell you something else. Once you get used to the routine and the traffic and cash starts rolling in, you too will enjoy writing immensely just like I do. It may sound a little complicated right now but once you get the hang of things you will realize how simple the whole process is. You really just require a little patience.
Now when you write your articles to draw readers to the page where you tell them about your offer it is very important that you give them some highly useful gems of information. Not everything but enough useful information to show them that you know exactly what you are talking about and also to promise (not by telling them but by showing them) that there are plenty more gems where that one came from.
If this part of your email newsletter business fails, then everything else will never work. I cannot possibly emphasize that fact enough. Another useful thing to remember here is that you should carefully study your article stats to see which articles are bring you the most traffic and which articles are the most popular in terms of readers. Usually here I leave nothing to chance and I carefully study my blogs stats using a very valuable but free online tool that quickly tells me exactly where my traffic is coming from. I then go into one of the only two article directories that I use and carefully check out the click through rate for each article. In other words, how many people read my article at the article directory and headed straight to my blog using the link in the resource box at the bottom.
Amazingly some articles can have a click through rate of as high as 40 per cent or more while others have a measly five percent, or even less. You want to avoid the five-percent-click-through-rate-articles and accumulate as many as possible that have 40 per cent or more of the readers clicking through to your site. That is how you build traffic fast. And more traffic naturally means more sales.

So as to make money with my free blogs one of the main products I sell through them are email newsletters or ezines. This is apart from a handful of affiliate programs I also promote using the same sites. This is basically how I earn a living from my blogs.
Actually email newsletters are the easiest thing to sell using blogs. One of the reasons for this is because most of the people who visit them are hungry for information. So all you have to do is prove that you have the expertise and knowledge to supply the information being looked for by giving out some of it for free on your blog. It is then the easiest thing in the world to refer readers to your fee-based email newsletter for the rest of the information.
However everything starts with traffic. To make the whole thing work you will have to generate lots of traffic and that traffic should be as targeted as possible. The problem with most blogs is that in their mad rush for traffic, especially in the formative stages, they do not care too much how targeted the traffic is as long as they can generate as many hits as they possibly can. One of the reasons for this is that many of these blogs carry Google Adsense ads and are anxious to make money from clicks assuming that anybody who lands on their blog and is not interested in the content could still click on one of their Adsense advertisements and generate revenue for them.
To be totally honest I have made this mistake myself and I can tell you that it then becomes very difficult, actually almost impossible to be able to sell any products or services on such a blog later. In fact I have blogs that have very low regular traffic but are highly targeted and which have therefore earned me tens of thousands of dollars at a time. And the reason why this has happened is just because they attracted a highly targeted audience right from the beginning.
